Karla, along with eight others, helped start the school in 2002. She has been heavily involved with the school serving as the principal from when Mayflower started through July 2021. She has recently retired and transitioned into the liaison between the Mayflower Board and school. She is married to Joe Powers and has four daughters. She enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.
Amy has been working at Mayflower for 6 years now. She assists Mrs. Maitlen with the administrative work of the school. Amy is married to Toby Henry and has three children. Amy enjoys spending time with her family and doing things outdoors.
Mrs. Paup has been teaching at Mayflower since 2010. She loves teaching and being able to show them the love of God and His Word. Jodi has been married for the past 32 years to Chad Paup and has four children. She enjoys biking, kayaking and spending time with her family.
First & Second Grade Teacher
Miss Dillinger has been teaching at Mayflower since the very start of the school. She has loved her last 19 years at Mayflower seeing the eagerness and excitement the students have to learn. She taught in Maryland and Idaho before coming to Creston to teach at Mayflower. Her favorite Bible verse is 1 Thessalonians 5:24. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and spoiling her nieces and nephews.
Fifth & Sixth Grade Teacher
Mr. Walker has taught fifth and sixth grade at Mayflower since 2007 and been in the education system for a total of 27 years. He is grateful for the opportunity to be involved in teaching his students about God. He and his wife Brenda have four daughters He enjoys bow hunting and cheering on the Northwest Missouri State Bearcats. He grew up in Maryville, Missouri and attended Northwest Missouri State University.
Seventh & Eighth Grade Teacher
Mrs. Tebbenkamp has taught seventh and eighth grade at Mayflower for 5 years. Before coming to Mayflower, she taught as a classroom teacher for 4 years and as a substitute teacher for 16 years. She loves making science come alive and using it to show the greatness of our Creator. Her desire is to help students learn not only the value of academics but also the value of a personal walk with Christ.
