Our Vision is to support the Christian family, and partner with the family’s church, in providing a Christ-centered, biblically-based education which instills spiritual discernment, vision, and the practice of excellence in character, academics and service.

OUR MISSION:

To provide quality education based upon a firm foundation of God’s Word.  Functioning as an extension of the Christian home, the school supports parents who seek to obey the biblical instruction that gives them ultimate responsibility for the education of their children.  Because the Christian approach to learning differs significantly from the secular approach, the school offers a curriculum rooted in a God-centered view of life (Deuteronomy 6:6-8).  The curriculum, taught by a qualified Christian faculty, allows parents to provide their children with academic instruction consistent with the Christian teaching received at home and at church.

FOUNDATION:

Mayflower started with the desire to provide a curriculum that was focused on a Christian worldview. They wanted to partner with local churches and Christian families to provide a Biblically based education.  The goal is that children will grow up to love the Lord, serve & follow Him , and seek to make Him known to others.

OUR PLAN:

  • To use the Word of God to inspire, govern and direct our days from study in Bible-based curriculum, to weekly chapels.

  • To nurture students in their commitment to Christ, teaching them to analyze issues with a Christian worldview and develop creativity, artistic and academic skills under the Lordship of Christ.

  • To employ faculty that are godly leaders, sensitive to the  students as they encourage their spiritual growth.

  • To immerse children in the love of Christ, encouraging growth in their relationship with Him and with others.

HISTORY:

Mayflower started in 2002 with 11 children and two teachers. Since 2002 we have served over 200 students and have seven staff members and many volunteers. They have had the blessing of sharing a facility with Crest Baptist Church and in 2010 a new educational facility was added to church to allow for growth in the school.

EDUCATION:

Mayflower uses a variety of Christian curriculum including Abeka and ACSI. They focus on a biblical worldview in order to help the students see  life through God's lenses. Our hope is that as they move on from Mayflower they might be a light for Christ to all they are around.

Faith Statement:

  1. We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and holds His inerrant truths (II Timothy 3:16, II Peter 1:20-21).

  2. We believe in one God (Deuteronomy 6:4) eternally existent in three persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit  (John 10:30, Acts 5:32).

  3. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 2:36), His virgin birth (Luke 1:34-35), sinless life (Hebrews 4:15), atoning death (Matthew 26:28), and resurrection for the salvation of our sins (Luke 24:33-34, John 3:16-17).

  4. We believe in the continuing ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life in unity and harmony with God (I Corinthians 1:10, 3:16, 6:17-20).

  5. We believe that mortals are sinful by nature and that spiritual regeneration by the Holy Spirit through Jesus Christ is essential for our salvation (Romans 3:23, Ephesians 2:8-10, Titus 3:5-7).

  6. We believe that God established the family as the basic unit of society and that parents are ultimately responsible for the instruction and discipline of their children (Ephesians 5:22-6:4, Proverbs 13:24).

  7. We believe that the term “marriage” has only one meaning: the uniting of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive covenant union, as delineated in Scripture (Gen 2:18-25).

  8. We acknowledge God as the author of all creation as revealed in the Book of Genesis (Genesis 1,2).

BIKE-A-THON:

Along with our regular PE curriculum, bike safety is taught.  One day a year, the students spend the day at Green Valley State Park   riding their bikes.  The day is used as a fundraiser for the school. The children get sponsorships from different people in order to raise money. This is Mayflowers' biggest fundraiser each year.

Mayflower organizes a dessert theater every year in which the Mayflower students preform in a musical. A silent auction occurs during the dessert theater, and tasty treats are also provided.
